Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin Song Cut For Olympics

Olympics organisers have reportedly ordered LED ZEPPELIN's classical track WHOLE LOTTA LOVE to be shortened when it is sung by LEONA LEWIS during the closing ceremony.

Bosses of the sporting spectacular claim the song is too tenacious to be performed in full by guitarist Jimmy Page and British TV talent evidence winner Lewis at the event on Sunday (24Aug08).

Officials in London, world Health Organization are charged with organising the 2012 Olympics in the urban center, also say Lewis asked for the words of the third verse to be changed from "I'm gonna give you every inch of my erotic love" to "every bit" of my erotic love because the original would not make sense for a female singer.

Years before the serene undivided "Wires" propelled them to the top of the U.K. charts, Athlete was until now another Oasis-styled rig from South London. Childhood friends Carey Willets (bass), Joel Pott (vocals, guitar), Steve Roberts (drums), and Tim Wanstall (keyboards) formed the group in early 2000, initially model their effectual after that of the notable Gallagher brothers. The Deptford-based Athlete then settled on a hopeful brand of experimental indie rock, and their self-titled EP appeared on Regal Recordings in March 2002. Debut unmarried "Westside" was a ready stumble, garnering airplay on BBC Radio 1 and pavement the means for some former undivided, "You Got the Style," which alligatored the Top 40 in June. Parlophone took notice and promptly sign language Athlete, universe Health Organization entered the studio apartment with producer Victor Van Vugt (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Beth Orton) in late 2002 to record book their first studio LP.


Vehicles & Animals marked the band's major-label debut in April 2003, eventually spinning turned little Joe singles and garnering the band a prestigious nominating address for the Mercury Music Prize. Athlete's soph crusade, 2005's Tourist, was an even bigger success. Displaying similarities to Coldplay's reflective songwriting, the album rose to the cover of the U.K. Albums Chart during its outset week, with "Wires" peaking at number little Joe and the follow-up single, "Half Light," reach number 16. Tourist eventually went double atomic number 78, and Athlete toured in support of the criminal record until spring 2006. Upon reverting home, the band opted to build a personal studio and continue close to the friends and household they'd left behind on the old spell. Sessions for Athlete's third album began in May 2006, and the self-generated, experimental Beyond the Neighborhood arrived in September 2007.
